Reparative Program
This program is designed for individuals charged with serious offenses who are referred by the Court or as a condition of Probation or Parole. The program focuses on repairing harm to those affected by the offense and to the broader community, while also addressing factors that may have contributed to the behavior.
Participants attend two Reparative Panels and meet with trained community volunteers, a case manager, and a victim liaison to develop a reparative agreement/contract outlining steps or tasks to address the harm caused and prevent it from happening again. The goals of the program are to promote accountability, support healing for victims, help participants understand the broader impact of their actions, and develop the skills needed to prevent future offenses. If the participant fails to complete the program, the referring agency is notified, and further legal action is taken.
