Reparative Panel Program

This program is a referral program for higher level increased risk participant which provides an alternative to traditional probation and focuses on repairing the harm done to the victims of the crime and the community. It also provides an opportunity for the increased risk participant to become accountable for their actions, understand the impact their actions have had on others and learn ways to avoid re-offending.

The participant meets with the Reparative Panel, made up of community volunteers who, with the increased risk participant, create a contract that addresses these four goals.  Participants then work with the Case Manager to complete the tasks.

Upon successful completion of a  Reparative  contract, the participant is eligible for discharge from probation, or has satisfied the sentencing requirement from the court. If an increased risk participant fails to complete the program, they will be returned to court for further sentencing.
Restorative Justice Services is a reflection of a growing partnership and collaboration with the Department of Corrections in working with individuals who have been incarcerated and are reentering the community.
